Dirk Hug strengthens ASM’s sales team in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

ASM Steuerungstechnik is strengthening its presence in the German-speaking market: As Area Sales Manager DACH, Dirk Hug will be responsible for customers and partners in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. With more than 15 years of experience in stage machinery, he brings extensive technical expertise and many years of experience in project management to his new role.

Throughout his career in stage machinery, Dirk Hug has gained an in-depth understanding of the industry from both technical and commercial perspectives. He began his career as a design engineer before moving into project management, where he was responsible for projects from initial enquiries and cost calculations through engineering and coordination to implementation. Most recently, he headed a stage machinery department, with responsibilities including project management, customer relations and new business development as well as budget and personnel management.

In his new role at ASM, Dirk Hug will bring his technical experience to the sales team. In addition to supporting existing customers, he will help expand ASM’s sales activities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and develop new customer relationships.

“After more than 15 years in project management, I am looking forward to bringing my experience in stage machinery to ASM while taking on a new perspective. I have experienced many of the day-to-day challenges our customers face first-hand. I am particularly looking forward to working with them to develop practical solutions and build long-term partnerships,” says Dirk Hug.

Dirk Hug verstärkt den DACH-Vertrieb bei ASM Steuerungstechnik

ASM Steuerungstechnik baut seine Präsenz im deutschsprachigen Markt aus: Als Area Sales Manager DACH übernimmt Dirk Hug künftig die Betreuung von Kunden und Partnern in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz. Mit mehr als 15 Jahren Erfahrung in der Bühnentechnik bringt er umfassendes technisches Know-how und langjährige Erfahrung in der Projektabwicklung mit.

Dirk Hug blickt auf eine langjährige Karriere in der Bühnentechnik zurück und kennt die Branche aus unterschiedlichen technischen und kaufmännischen Perspektiven. Seine berufliche Laufbahn begann er als Konstrukteur, bevor er in die Projektleitung wechselte und Projekte von der Anfrage und Kalkulation über Engineering und Koordination bis zur Umsetzung begleitete. Zuletzt war er als Abteilungsleiter Bühnentechnik tätig und verantwortete neben der Projektabwicklung auch Kundenbetreuung und Neukundengewinnung sowie Budget und Personal.

In seiner neuen Position bei ASM bringt Dirk Hug seine technische Erfahrung in den Vertrieb ein. Neben der Betreuung bestehender Kunden wird er den Ausbau des Vertriebs im DACH-Raum unterstützen und neue Kundenbeziehungen aufbauen.

„Nach über 15 Jahren in der Projektabwicklung freue ich mich darauf, meine Erfahrung aus der Bühnentechnik nun bei ASM einzubringen und gleichzeitig eine neue Perspektive einzunehmen. Ich kenne viele der täglichen Herausforderungen unserer Kunden aus eigener Erfahrung. Umso mehr freue ich mich darauf, gemeinsam mit ihnen praxisnahe Lösungen zu entwickeln und langfristige Partnerschaften aufzubauen“, sagt Dirk Hug.
